The Purpose of The Bot

We had two ideas that we were really excited about and were practical for our bot.

1.) Whoopee Cushion

2.) Fabreze

Each idea posed different challenges.  After some deliberation and research, we decided on the fabreze and heres why:

a.) The whoopee cushion would need to re-inflate itself.  This in and of itself is very easy to do because they make self inflating whoopee cushion.  The bad news is, they are more difficult to get a good fart noise out of.  They need to have an even distribution of force over the whole surface and to top it off, it needs to be done quickly in order to get a good noise.  This makes sense if someone is sitting on it, but to get a motor set up to perform that task would be much more difficult and would likely still not produce a good result as anyone with familiarity to whoopee cushions would know.

b.) Fabreze is relatively cheap and easy to work with.  It also smells pretty good. And it has its own form that is stable that we can work off of.

So what we will do is use a piece of ribbon to pull the trigger of the Fabreze.

The ribbon will be pulled taut by a Servo motor which uses a spool to wind up the ribbon.

Tonight we will work on figuring out the details and working on the kinks.
